The IDS Piggy Parlour

The Piggy Parlour is a patented first stage weaner room.  Suitable for pigs from the first day of weaning, the special design of this modular room ensures an optimal environment in which small pigs can thrive.

The Piggy Parlour, first introduced to the market in 1990's, was developed as a result of research and practical experience.  The ventilation system, which is controlled by computer, guarantees that the environment is kept fresh and clean.  This, along with the fine level of temperature and humidity control encourages growth from the first day of weaning.

  As all pig producers know, newly weaned pigs can loose weight during their first few days away from the sow.  However, if pigs do well at this critical stage, they perform better right through to bacon. 
  
  The IDS ventilation system ensures that no cold air ever falls directly onto pigs, which is especially relevant in cold weather at minimum ventilation rates.  This is achieved by mixing the incoming cold air with warm air from the room.  The computer calculates the required rate of mixing so that all of this happens automatically. 
  
  An added advantage is that there are very low running costs and that mortality is minimised. 
  
  The Piggy Parlour is the safest start for newly weaned pigs, and is suitable for pigs up to 35kg.
